What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences and to gather information about how a site is used. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; those set by another organisation are third-party cookies.
How this site uses cookies
I keep cookies to a minimum. Analytics are loaded through Google Tag Manager, and Google Consent Mode holds them in a denied state until you accept, so until then the only cookie stored is the one that records your choice. This site does not use cookies for advertising or to build a profile of you.

This cookie remembers your privacy choice so the banner does not keep reappearing. It does not track you or store data that identifies you.

Analytics
These are set by Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, and only after you accept, to measure traffic so I can see how the site is used and improve it.

What I do not use
This site does not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels or cross-site tracking, and I do not sell any data collected through cookies.
Managing cookies
You are in control of cookies. You can:
- use the banner to accept or decline analytics when you first visit;
- adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Most browsers let you do this and explain how in their help pages. Blocking cookies will not stop you using this site;
- install Google's official opt-out add-on to refuse Google Analytics across all websites, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;
- use your browser's private or incognito mode, which clears cookies when you close it.
Your consent
This site uses Google Consent Mode. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them through the banner; until then, and if you decline, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics stay in a consent-denied state and set no analytics cookies. They are not essential to using the site. To change your mind, or to see the banner again, clear the nabharoy_consent cookie (or your browser's cookies and site data) and reload the page.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy if the cookies used on the site change, or to reflect new guidance. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
